If there is one place in the world where all weather conditions can occur in quick succession in a single day, it is Iceland. The land of fire and ice lives up to its name. When A & G celebrated their elopement, the day was surprisingly sunny. For the photos, this meant that their faces were full of shadows. And so it came to be that after their wedding, they wanted to have more photos taken of themselves in their wedding attire.

We couldn’t have chosen a better day for the after-wedding session: from sunshine to an approaching storm with rain and a rainbow at the end, we had it all. The session took place at the same location where their outdoor wedding ceremony had been held: an idyllic, hidden little waterfall that we had all to ourselves. I can’t wait to return to Iceland for another elopement — I have definitely lost my heart to this rugged country.
